We've seen so much reporting with precious little insight . . .

The reality check for anyone even vaguely familiar with the situation: 

Most of these debates come down town UNSPOKEN racially charged beef in the midst of shifting demographics by way of age & ethnography.

Punchline: Most of these viewpoints are no longer Constitutionally protected.

"Revolución Educativa, a local nonprofit designed to ensure Latino representation in area public school systems, is calling on Valdenia Winn, a KCKPS board member and state representative, to apologize for what the organization called a distribution of misleading information during public meetings.

"Its decision to put Winn’s face on the billboard last week was among the group’s efforts to get that apology. The organization is calling on local school leadership to focus less on board infighting and more on students. “Board members should absolutely scrutinize how taxpayer dollars are spent. But I want to see that same level of intensity applied to the educational experiences and academic outcomes of students,” said Edgar Palacios, Revolución Educativa’s executive director, in a statement."
