Meet The New KCMO Public Works Honcho

There's already a bit of background chatter here that might or might not get some traction. 

But for now . . . Here's the official word . . . 

Kansas City is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason L. Waldron, P.E. as the new Public Works Director. 

A licensed Professional Engineer with more than 30 years of experience in transportation, infrastructure, construction, and public service, Waldron brings a proven record of innovation, collaboration, and project delivery to the department. Throughout his career, he has successfully led complex public works programs, managed major capital investments, and built strong partnerships among local, state, federal, and community stakeholders. 

"Jason's list of accomplishments as a professional engineer and project manager is long and distinguished. He has demonstrated passion and dedication for the City of Kansas City and public service," said City Manager Mario Vasquez. "I'm grateful for his willingness to step up and lend his talent and expertise to lead the Public Works Department." 

Prior to joining the City, Waldron spent 17 years in the private sector as a transportation consultant. During that time, he delivered roadway, park, sidewalk, trail, and transit projects throughout the Kansas City area.
