"Kansas had 700 fewer farms in 2025 than in 2024 and used 200,000 fewer acres of land for farming."The smallest farms declined the most. Farms with annual sales of less than $10,000 fell by 300. Farms with sales between $100,000 and $249,999 fell by 3.57% — the largest proportional decrease among the USDA’s farm sales classes in Kansas."
