The result of this newspaper investigation might be nothing more than returned checks and the same cash re-routed with better paperwork . . . More likely . . . Nothing happens at all.

"Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach accepted more than $10,000 in campaign contributions from a conservative news CEO and a Kansas car dealer that exceeded limits for individual donors set by state law, a new ethics complaint alleges. 

"Revelations about the donations came as part of a series of campaign finance allegations brought by End Citizens United, a national political action committee that earlier this month demanded the Kansas Public Disclosure Commission investigate Kobach’s campaign finances."
