Haiti officially lost its Temporary Protected Status in July. Claudia, a coordinator with Advocates for Immigrant Rights and Reconciliation, said that standing up for our immigrant neighbors is more important now than ever.
“Kansas City has always been a welcoming city,” Icart said. “Kansas City is a place that immigrants belong, and we want to keep it that way. That means a lot to see people behind us.”
