Kansas City South Side Urgently Rallies To Save Blue River Road

One more reminder that KCMO remains completely focused on development inside the downtown loop and NOTHING ELSE.

And so . . . We love the setup in this recent local call to action . . . Check-it: 

"Councilwoman Bough resigned her seat to accept a job with the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City. The EDC enjoys giving public tax dollars to private developers. The Kansas City TIF Commission recently advanced a $320.2 million financing plan through the EDC KC to support the city's $600 million public commitment to the Royals downtown stadium. Mayor Lucas then chose to bring back Kevin McManus to finish out Councilwoman Bough's term.  Remember him? He ran on repairing BRR in 2015.

"Last week the city approved an initial $51 million in funding for the park that will top I-670 downtown. Councilman Duncan and 5th District Councilman Curls began to crow about money available for downtown but never enough for our districts, specifically mentioning BRR."
