Kansas City I-435 Jeep Crash Kills Passengers

Traffic tragedy report as we gear up for a busy weekend . . . Check one more reminder to drive safely: 

"Preliminary investigation indicates that a silver Jeep Cherokee was traveling south on Interstate 435 when it ran off the road, just north of Front Street, for an undetermined reason.

"Police say the Jeep traveled down a grassy embankment, through a metal fence and across the parking lot of the business at 6920 Executive Drive. The Jeep struck the front of a parked semi-trailer before it stopped.

"The driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene, police say. They were both wearing seat belts.

"An investigation is underway. "
