Kansas AG Kobach Endorses Crackdown Against In-State Tuition For Undocumented

With special thanks to our conservative gringo blogging colleagues . . . We notice a return to immigration tough talk amid economic harsh times.

The punchline is that the power move probably won't make it any easier for poor whites to get a degree — something that would serve to uplift not only the economy but also the nation in the long term. However, in fairness, another joke about this debate is that so many progressive "allies" are also on board with this move and don't like illegal freebies either or at least wouldn't dare confront the political hit in defense of as much.

More important than all of this, objectively this might be the most consequential victory connected to the career of Kansas AG Kris Kobach and it has been almost completely overlooked by MSM.

But enough of our snark in the language of the oppressor . . . (j/k) . . . Here's some great news for so many of our friends who can't feel good unless somebody else is suffering . . .

Illegal aliens living in Kansas will no longer receive in-state tuition at Kansas universities after federal judge Holly Teeter ruled that federal law preempts a Kansas law giving in-state tuition to illegal aliens. The ruling permanently prohibits Kansas from enforcing its law granting in-state tuition to illegal aliens.

“For years, Kansas universities have been violating federal law by giving in-state tuition rates to illegal aliens, while nonresident U.S. citizens have to pay much more in tuition,” Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach said in a release. “The governor tried to intervene in this case, because she wanted to continue giving in-state tuition benefits to illegal aliens. With this decision, the court rejected her illogical arguments, and once again, U.S. citizens will be treated better than illegal aliens by Kansas universities.”
