As always . . . No matter what amount of culture war flexing we're forced to endure . . . 

AMERICANS ALWAYS VOTE WITH THEIR WALLETS!!!

And so . . . 

Our progressive friends would like to think that they're winning hearts and minds with so much "resistance" to the White House . . . The reality is that a slumping economy for working-class and middle-class Americans will automatically facilitate most moderate voters to switch directions and turn the other way . . . Regardless of ideology.  

And so . . . Here's the local context to back up that axiom . . . 

"Some drivers in Johnson County are changing the way they get around as the average price of gas in the county climbed to $4.22 per gallon . . . That's $1.65 more per gallon than when the war in Iran started in February."
