Goodbye NKC Purina Mill

A monument to a bygone era is on the way out . . . Only local "real ones" remember the not-so-long-ago days when the stink from this structure made most of this part of town smell like dog food.

Here's the update . . .  

Demolition on the top part of the old Purina Mill started Thursday, and soon, the entire mill, located off Interstate 29 and East 16th Avenue, will be gone.

The old Purina Mill has been a part of the industrial landscape for more than 100 years.
