"Tenth District manufacturing activity continued to increase, and expectations for future activity remained steady. Both month-over-month price indexes increased slightly from last month, with the finished products price index reaching its highest reading since July 2022."

"Former Kansas City Fed President Esther George warned on CNBC that the central bank must stay vigilant because inflation data is sticky and not moving in the desired direction.

"Price pressures remain elevated and are failing to cool as anticipated. The broader economy remains relatively solid with steady output, but supply shocks complicate the path back to the 2% target."
