Evidence Mounts Against Kansas City Serial Killer Suspect

Today's court testimony was exceptionally tragic for local witness 

The proceedings focused on police interrogation . . .

This passage is rough but offers a glimpse not only at the suspect's state of mind but also the last moments of one of his alleged victims . . . 

Fredrick Scott puts his head down, then eventually says he crossed paths with Palmer on the trail. Scott tells KCPD Sgt. Elaine Booth he was walking toward the overpass, and Palmer was walking toward him. 

“He called me the n-word,” Scott says during the interrogation.

Booth asks Scott how he felt when he shot Palmer.

“I just wanted my brother back,” Scott says, referring to his best friend who had been killed.

Booth asks Scott how many times he shot Palmer. He says he shot him five times.

“I shot him,” Scott says. “He was facing away.”

Booth asks what happened after Scott first shot him.

“He was cussing at me, so I shot him again,” Scott says.

He tells Booth that Palmer then said “What are you waiting for?” So, Scott says he shot him again. 

Scott then explained how he dragged Palmer by his arms into the brush near the trail.
