Credit to local newsie Joyce Smith for sharing a great deal of info on this upscale concept attempts to lure back locals with cash but doesn't realize there's not enough of them to rescue the entertainment district from impending public housing schemes.

The Clubhouse has started construction at 213/225 W. 47th St.

But what is it?

Plaza officials haven’t responded to questions on that concept - yet.

I’ve reached out to sources for their thoughts. One tosses out this possibility: Park House in Gillon’s Highland Park Village, described as a private members club dedicated to “curating world class, culturally enriched experiences.” It is so popular it has a famously long wait list.
