Did Lee's Summit Crackdown Ruin Oktoberfest Fun?!?

Of course the precautions are necessary . . . But that doesn't make them any less of a drag. 

Our big question to weekend readers: 

IS THE FUTURE OF PUBLIC PARTIES NOTHING MORE OR LESS THAN LOCKED DOWN & UNPLEASANT EVENTS?!? 

And all of it doesn't sound as much fun as staying home and working on GTA 6 skillz . . . 

Here's the word:  

A beloved German tradition returns to Lee's Summit this weekend with new additions, new security upgrades and a new home. 

Changes this year:

Oktoberfest will be gated and fenced in.

Previously a free and open event, tickets will now be required for $10 per person. Children 9 and under get in free.

A chaperone policy will be enforced. All guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult age 25 or older. One adult may chaperone up to four minors. Once inside, minors can enjoy the festival independently.
