Chastain Accuses City Hall of 'Illegal Games' After Council Delays Monorail and Stadium Ballot Votes

Lawlessness continues @ City Hall as Mayor Lucas & the City Council fail, yet again, to obey their own governing law (Section 703 of the city charter) & place the Monorail & Stadium Petitions on the April Ballot. Yesterday, Mayor Lucas & the City Council delayed (for 2-more weeks) placing 2-Valid Petitions on the April ballot after failing to place those 2-Clerk - Certified Petitions on the Ballot for nearly 3- Months!! Mayor Lucas & the City's Legal Department must immediately stop playing games with the People.

Mayor Lucas & the City first started out (July 2) playing games with the People by refusing to place the Monorail & Stadium Petitions on the Nov. Ballot. Now, Mayor Lucas, the City Council & the City's Legal Dept are playing (illegal) games with the People. KC's "Lawless Lawyers" are now violating their own governing law - the city charter. Lawyer Lucas (abetted by the Lawyers @ the Legal Dept.) are on a crime spree by not only refusing to place the Monorail & Stadium Petitions on the April Ballot (required by Section 703 of the City Charter as of September 3) they have also drafted an Ordinance (# 260859) which proposes drastic & unfair changes to the Ballot language of the Monorail Petition. Altering the original ballot language of the Monorail Petition is also illegal according to Section 703 of the city charter. 

Mayor Lucas is mistreating the People of Kansas City. The People of Kansas City do not deserve to be treated like fools by their Mayor. 

Mayor Lucas & the City Council 'must stop playing games with the People" & place the Monorail & Stadium Petitions on the April Ballot @ an emergency session of the Council for next Tuesday, and place both Petitions on the April Ballot in their "original form".
