"After more than a century on the front lines of Kansas City’s homelessness crisis, the faith-based nonprofit announced plans to provide nearly 118,000 bed nights in 2027, a 40% jump in capacity.

"Leaders plan to achieve the expansion while holding projected operating budget growth to just 2.5%, focusing on program efficiency and community partnerships as rising living costs, addiction, and mental health challenges strain local families."
