American Bear Exhibit Coming Soon To Kansas City Zoo

They're just sending out proposals . . . And just maybe . . .

The Zoo might add a TKC screening night for Cocaine Bear if only because we think that not enough people appreciated this American cinematic classic. 

Now, here's more info on the build . . .  

"The Kansas City Zoo and Aquarium is reviewing architects to design a new $12.5 million North American bear exhibit.

"Friends of the Zoo, Inc., which operates the facility within Swope Park, released a Request for Qualifications and Proposal (RFQ/P) targeting a 30-month design and construction window. Firms had until September 4 to submit qualifications.

"The proposed exhibit will be located in the front portion of the zoo between the existing Polar Bear and Orangutan Exhibits."
