Summer Of 'Explosive Diarrhea' Lingers In Kansas City

"Another food-related outbreak is confirmed in Kansas and Missouri, according to a report from the United States Food and Drug Administration.

"The FDA report published Monday says salmonella, a bacterium that can cause diarrhea, fevers and abdominal cramps has been found in over 20 states, located in products containing fresh jalapeƱos from Sinaloa, Mexico distributed by Coast Citrus Distributors. The jalapeƱo recall also impacts Taylor Fresh Foods, who also recalled shredded lettuce carrying cyclospora, a gastrointestinal illness that also causes diarrhea to those infected."
