Show-Me Unions & Pro-Choice Trending Against Republicans?!?

A report we're sharing this morning is mostly progressive wishful thinking . . .

In fact, Missouri has seen labor unions shift toward the right over the past 20 years with a tacit acknowledgment that their members aren't voting for Dems at the top of the ticket. 

This report contradicts that truism with a few nice quotes that don't reflect so many election cycles wherein the GOP has garnered a near total SWEEP across the ballot.   

Nevertheless, here's the midterm hope . . .  

A coalition of Missouri labor unions and reproductive rights groups announced a $1 million campaign this month aimed at defeating Republican lawmakers who voted to repeal the state’s paid sick leave requirement.

Not long ago, such a partnership would’ve seemed unusual and unlikely.

But years of organizing — and repeated battles with the Republican-controlled legislature over abortion rights, worker protections and the initiative petition process — have drawn the movements increasingly close together.
