 Statement on the Missouri Supreme Court Accepting Respect MO Voters Appeal 

 “We look forward to our day in the Missouri Supreme Court on September 2,” said former Sen. Bob Johnson (R-Lee’s Summit). “Voters deserve a say on the laws that govern us. When the will of Missouri voters can be repeatedly overturned by politicians, it is deeply troubling. That is why volunteers created Amendment 6 through a citizen-led initiative petition—to protect the people’s voice and their right to petition their government. We are grateful the Missouri Supreme Court accepted our appeal and will hear our case. We are confident the Court will determine that Amendment 6 is appropriate and ready for placement on the November 3 ballot.”
