“That’s not right — and I have a bill to stop it,” said Warren as she backed the bipartisan Patients Before Monopolies Act (S. 4509), which she co-sponsored with Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO). The bill was reintroduced in May after first launching it in 2024.

The bill would ban common ownership of insurers and pharmacies and require companies to divest such holdings within a year to boost competition and lower drug prices.
