Show-Me Going HAM For Redistricting: What If Congressman Cleaver Wins?!?

Stranger things have happened . . . With the Prez asking voters to "accept" higher gas prices. Anything can happen.

Democratic Congressman Emanuel Cleaver II and Republican candidate Rick Brattin attended the Governor's Ham Breakfast at the Missouri State Fair on Thursday while the boundaries of the district they're running in are still tied up in court.

Both are awaiting an eventual decision from the Missouri Supreme Court about the fate of a proposed referendum on the new congressional district map Missouri lawmakers passed in 2025 . . .

Cleaver said he's going to campaign in this new district the same way he's done it throughout his career.

"I think you know someone may have miscalculated to assume that, No. 1, that I couldn't represent a rural area, and then, No. 2, that somehow people were going to think this was OK, and they don't," Cleaver said.
