First, let's start with the obvious wins . . .
Prez Trump endorsed Kansas State Senator Ty Masterson & Missouri State Senator Rick Brattin and they both moved forward in crowded fields.
Clearly the Prez continues to dominate the GOP.
However . . .
Republicans pushed for control of the Kansas State Supreme Court . . .
Along with ambitious GOP efforts against petition power and state income taxes . . .
Both election moves FLOPPED DRAMATICALLY . . .
And what was the most telling for us in KCMO is that council dude Willett ran his campaign as a MAGA loyalty pledge but still couldn't gain traction.
From our perspective . . .
Tonight Kansas City earned a glimpse at political life after the MAGA era and maybe witnesses Dems mounting a real challenge for the midterms by moving beyond the socialism distraction.
As always . . .
We're more interested in how readers might view the implication of primary returns.
We hope to have a bit more TKC for the morning . . .
