"This action to remove 24 tenants from their residences comes after City Ordinance #260667 was approved by City Council on August 13, directing the City Manager to coordinate repairs with the building’s owner.
"This continued situation has occurred as the City Council has attempted to enact repairs, allegations of contractors being threatened by gun violence, and new ownership, all in a matter of weeks.
"The Northeast News was at the scene during this relocation action on Friday, August 21 and spoke with several KC Tenants organizers and one displaced resident."
