Not so long ago . . . This kind of story would dominate local headlines when, in fact, most people don't know much about the local non-profit development game that often serves to enrich so many power players.

"There is an effort underway to remove Tracey Lewis from his position at the  Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, known as EDCKC, calling it an “attempted coup” – and alleging Mayor Quinton Lucas is spearheading the effort.

"The controversy came into public view during a recent EDCKC board meeting that quickly moved into closed session."
