Mary Sanchez Pens Syndicated Fan Letter To Kansas Rev. Hamilton

Okay . . . So some of you d-bags keep suggesting that TKC is pushing for the Rev. when it have been soooooo obvious over the past 50 years I've been writing this blog that I think "people who believe things" are kinda silly and deserve so much of our snark.

To wit . . . 

LET'S CHECK SOME REAL SUPPORT FOR THE REV FROM LONGTIME KC SCRIBE MARY SANCHEZ!!! 

For the love of the Almighty . . . Trying to read too much into bloggy dumb jokes is a waste whilst this bit of boosterism is far more obvious . . . Check-it: 

"Clearly, Kansas still leans heavily Republican. But don’t underestimate Hamilton. Anyone who comes at politics with a moderate, no-name calling, rational approach to solving problems deserves praise, not scorn.

"Hamilton is proven in that regard. He has led the largest United Methodist church in the country, with 24,000 members. He built the Church of the Resurrection, starting 36 years ago with a small congregation in a funeral home.

"He’s a mega pastor who has avoided the scandals that often accompany that much growth, including any taint from the financial donations that sustain such a large congregation. The path was to offer a place of worship and belonging for the unchurched, or the nominally religious."
