Libs Of TikTok Rebuke Blustering Kansas City Anti-MAGA Merch

First let's start with context . . . 

Critics and civil rights groups accuse the Libs Of TikTok account of stochastic harassment—using incendiary framing and anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric (such as the "groomer" label) to direct mass online outrage and offline threats toward teachers, hospitals, and libraries.

Media reports and law enforcement have linked specific posts from the account to subsequent real-world disruptions, including bomb threats targeting children's hospitals, schools, and public spaces.

Supporters and conservative commentators defend the account, viewing it as a legitimate watchdog that exposes radical or age-inappropriate ideologies in public institutions using content that was already publicly available online. 

Accordingly . . . 

Here's the local mention this week that has garnered a great deal of online viewership and more than a few messages to this blog . . .  

"The 'Fetch' store is selling merch with messages hoping for President Trump to die"

And so . . .

Obviously, the merch is DUMB but it's also followed-up by equally menacing and nasty language in the comments targeting the purveyors of the misbegotten swag. 

As always, we advise locals not to get too caught up in online flexing and take a beat in order to understand that this kind of branding serves to BOLSTER BOTH SIDES OF THE EQUATION and spark greater purchases for EVERYBODY.
