KCPD Search For Suspect After Aggravated Assault Mass Shooting

For late night, early morning readers we share more info on increasingly violent streets at the end of summer 2026 and police working a late night crime scene.

Here is the report that police share with local media . . . 

Aggravated Assault 3400 blk of Park

Tonight, just after 9 PM, patrol officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of Park on a reported Shotspotter call for service. While in route the call was updated to a shooting. 

As officers arrived they were directed to a residence on Park where they located an adult female victim, and a juvenile male victim (under 5) suffering from gunshot wounds.  Officers began rendering aid and KCFD paramedics responded to the scene. 

While on scene an additional juvenile female victim (teenage) was located near a different residence on Park with a gunshot wound. An additional adult male victim arrived at a local hospital via private conveyance, also suffering from a gunshot wound. 

In total four victims were located. All victims are at local hospitals in stable condition. This is being investigated as an aggravated assault and no one is in custody at this point. 

An extensive crime scene was located, spanning several blocks. Detectives are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting. Investigators are on scene canvassing for witnesses, physical evidence, and any available surveillance footage.
