Kansas City Streetcar Union Shares Demands

Like everybody else they want higher wages, more benefits and control over their working schedule.

KC Streetcar operators, maintenance workers and maintenance technicians had voted 41-11 in favor of unionizing with Teamsters Local 955. According to National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) records, 69 workers were eligible to vote. Unionization won nearly 79% of ballots cast.
