This was always a forgone conclusion despite activists and "social media influencers" wasting the time of their followers by not telling them how local politics really works.
To be fair, this is the only thing of significance that the Royals will win this season.

"The Kansas City Council’s Finance Committee unanimously endorsed and approved the documents on Tuesday, sending them to the full City Council on Thursday, Aug. 19.
"The new lease would begin on Feb. 1, 2031, and the $1.9 billion project would be split 60/40 for public and private funding."
