On second thought, this time around we notice locals less "vocal" about this cash payout that ultimately will be the selling point of a high-priced deal . . . Here's more reporting and insight . . . 

"In exchange for more than $1 billion in taxpayer funding, the Kansas City Royals will commit a minimum of $55 million over the next 30 to 40 years, according to the terms of a Community Impact Partnership Agreement set for discussion Tuesday at Kansas City’s Finance, Governance and Public Safety Committee meeting."
