Our real estate pals tell us that there wasn't a lot of inventory moving the summer.
Nevertheless . . .
Asking prices remain sky high . . . Check the deets:
"A new report about the Kansas City area’s housing market says home prices hit a “new high” in July but remain below the national median. Homes.com published its first-ever report about the Kansas City housing market this week, finding that the median home sale price in the KC area was $371,475 in July, up 3.2% year over year.
"The median price in the area went up by $11,475 year-over-year, while nationally it went up by $10,000, the report says. That’s across single-family houses, townhomes and condos. That was faster than the national increase of 2.6%, which reflects the trend in other markets in the Midwest such as Detroit, Minneapolis and Chicago."
