Social media tech helping "auto enthusiasts" to swarm presents a constant challenge but this Summer we notice a lot fewer "takeovers" and the progress might never be acknowledged by local Karens who haven't spent any quality time in the backseat of a car since the 1960s.

Over the weekend, officers with the Kansas City Police Department continued crackdown efforts on “illegal street activities” such as sideshows and street racing.
During the crackdown, the department said eight stolen weapons and two stolen vehicles were recovered, as well as 14 suspects arrested.
The enforcement is part of the KCPD’s entertainment district plan, which has been in effect and will continue to be all summer.
