Kansas City Activist Rally Demands Justice After Royals Vote Clash

Hard feelings after a rushed vote on the new Royals stadium persist.

In fact, an activist held to the ground during an altercation over speaker time has become a focal point for the "resistance" against the stadium.

CHECK FAITH COMMUNITY LEADERS ORGANIZING PROTEST AFTER AN EPIC RUCKUS IN KCMO COUNCIL CHAMBERS!!!

Here's the quote along with a link to more info . . .

"Mr. Miller received no verbal trespass warning and no request to leave from the Mayor or City Council after speaking during Tuesday's open session. Notably Councilwoman Andrea Bough visibly tried to intervene. He was unlawfully touched first by unidentified individuals—alleged security or contractors—triggering a reflexive defensive movement. This was unacceptable, and today we raise our voices to say: enough.

"We speak out to challenge the unlawful criminal charges tied to Mr. Miller's detention and arrest following the aftermath of the August 18, 2026, City Hall meeting. He was exercising his constitutional right to oppose the City Council's effort to allocate $600 million in taxpayer funds toward a new MLB stadium for the Kansas City Royals. His voice—and the voices of countless Kansas Citians—must not be silenced through intimidation or misuse of authority.

"We demand that all charges be dropped immediately. We call for a full and transparent investigation by the Supervisor of Security, the City Manager's Office, and the Department of Community Safety into the abandonment of de-escalation practices and protocols by City Hall's acting security personnel who mishandled Mr. Miller.

"We further call upon the Kansas City Missouri Police Department to dismiss all charges that arose only after City Hall security—unidentified individuals—grabbed, pushed, and mishandled Mr. Miller, actions that caused him to instinctively protect himself and attempt to avoid being grabbed."
