Velocity Arts LLC, a Shawnee-based developer, unveiled plans for a 335-acre entertainment, arts and education district, which city officials said will be slated for the northwest quadrant of 175th Street and Interstate 35.
“We’re not simply building another entertainment venue,” Velocity CEO Josh Shibler said in a statement. “We’re creating a district where people can attend a concert, take a class, spend a weekend, meet with colleagues, discover local businesses and return for a completely different experience.”
