Fair Warning Amid Fishing Expedition At Jackson County Courthouse

Over the past few weeks we've learned that most local newies don't really know the first thing about how criminal investigations work or maybe they've never watched even one episode of The Sopranos. Either way, we're kinda surprised by the really naive way that most KC "journalists" are treating the news coming out of 12th & Oak.

Special thanks to insiders who clued us into how the discussion is REALLY going behind the scenes.

The basics . . .

RIGHT NOW IS PROBABLY THE WORST TIME TO DO ANY BIZ WITH JACKSON COUNTY!!!

Feel free to write this off as the rantings of a blogger who probably watches too many gangster movies and has read one too many detective novels . . . But just about every online reference we can find confirms the basics of how garnering information works in this circumstance . . .

"Federal law enforcement agencies often recruit charged individuals by leveraging prosecutorial leniency against the threat of severe prison sentences. Prosecutors formalize these arrangements through cooperation agreements, offering to reduce, drop, or delay charges in exchange for "substantial assistance." To secure these benefits, the defendant must provide verifiable, actionable intelligence that helps authorities build cases against higher-level targets."

Accordingly . . . We won't make assumptions about how well our elected officials "hold up under questioning" if only because TKC starts tearing up when a QT clerk mistakenly overcharges for coffee.

And so we'll merely ask . . .

DOES IT SEEM LIKE A GOOD TIME TO CONDUCT ANY KIND OF BIZ WITH JACKSON COUNTY???

As always, here at www.TonysKansasCity.com we're "just asking questions" if only because most local media either don't understand or don't want to know about what looks like an EPIC corruption investigation that seems to be ongoing and might even reach across the street.

Developing . . .
