Court Dox Amended After Mayor Q Denies Kansas City Media Audit

For the record after local newsies called out city hall over this alleged power move . . . 

This afternoon, the city of Kansas City filed a motion asking the court to correct its earlier response.

The city said the statement acknowledging that Mayor Lucas asked Kansas City Assistant City Manager Melissa Kozakiewicz to evaluate media coverage was an inadvertent error that was discovered after the filing was submitted.

The city’s new response removes the admission that Lucas asked Kozakiewicz to conduct the review. Instead, it says the mayor only received a report concerning media bias.
