This isn't REALLY a legal fight that will have far-reaching implications given that so much city hall contracting occurs amongst a smallish clique of insiders.

"Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway is asking a federal judge to temporarily block Kansas City’s minority- and women-owned business contracting program.

"Hanaway’s office filed a motion for a preliminary injunction Monday as part of a federal lawsuit challenging the city’s Minority and Woman Business Enterprise program."
