Activist 'Compliance Crew' Protest Against Kansas Trans Bathroom Law Explained

We've noted this story previously BUT . . . The visuals in this report do a much better job than local public radio of explaining this protest. 

Our cowtown progressives are too nice to cover the aggressive protest accurately.

Agree or disagree . . . We think that the quote we've selected and subsequent reporting offer a more accurate view of trans activist resistance that follows the letter of the law but not the spirit. 

Whilst this culture war kerfuffle could probably be solved with better plumbing and nicer public facilities for everyone . . . It's not completely unreasonable to suspect that so much effort to enact Kansas toilet law strives to enforce conformity of appearance i.e. dress codes by way of government rule.

"The compliance crew began going into public women’s restrooms, in a form of protest known as malicious compliance, which involves following a law to its exact phrasing rather than the way it might have been intended, which in this case is likely discouraging trans people from using public restrooms altogether. So far, they have done so in a public library, swimming pool, and water parks across the state, making the point that the law causes discomfort for everyone involved."

Kansas Trans Guys Are Using Women's Bathrooms, as Legally Required, as a Form of Protest

A group of transgender men who call themselves the "SB244 compliance crew" have been using women's bathrooms in protest of a Kansas law that mandates that they do so.
