Activist Clay Chastain Sues KC and Mayor Lucas Over Delayed Ballot Petitions 

Clay Chastain News Release: Chastain's King Buster Lawsuit was officially filed today (Case # 4:26-cv-00665-SRB) in US District Court against Lucas & the City for Crushing the Democratic Petition Process in Kansas City. By not placing 2 - 'Certified Petitions' on the Nov. Ballot, not explaining why & deliberately delaying a vote, King Lucas committed another act of bad faith, betrayed the public trust & violated Chastain's 1st Amendment Rights. 

It's not inclusive, it's not transparent and it does not build a stronger Community when a Kansas City Mayor silences the voices of 7, 500 Good Citizens. Passivity is a form of surrender. I will not surrender to a Bully. A Battle for an American Freedom is now underway in US District Court. The outcome could reshape KC, alter its political landscape & define its future.

KC Voter Chastain seeks Emergency Relief in the form of an Emergency Court Ruling ordering Lucas & the City Council to place a Certified Petition (Green Transportation / Monorail Initiative) on the next regularly scheduled municipal election date (Nov. 26). Lucas & KC's Gov't. are deploying an 'unconstitutional' 60-day delay tactic to harm, postpone & interfere with a Petition election. Lucas's subversive action of bad faith burdens the Petition, nukes its intent & violates Chastain's 1st Amendment Rights.

Many are unaware of the stealth tactics being used by Mayor Lucas to intimidate, manipulate & dominate the People in favor of his own personal agenda. 

I've spent a chunk of my life standing up for a free, open & better KC, and I continued with that 'Cause' today.
