Show-Me EPIC Guv Kehoe Cuts Targeting Kansas City

\There's part of TKC that thinks that it might be worth throwing more shade this guy's way given that he's going along with the DUMB MISSOURI POLITICAL HAYSEED IDEA THAT KANSAS CITY IS THE ENEMY OF RURAL MISSOURI NOT A NEIGHBOR, ECONOMIC ENGINE & TOURIST DESTINATION . . . BUT THEN we remember that the only alternative the Dems offered was some lady who ran her campaign on roller derby.

And that spares us from getting too worked up about any of it.

So we merely check the damage . . .

Governor Kehoe issued 65 vetoes, totaling more than $30 million in general revenue.

In Kansas City, some of those vetoes include:

Workforce Pre-Apprenticeship Kansas City: $625,000
Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center & State Museum: $100,000
Juneteenth Kansas City: $100,000
World Cup Overtime x2: $1.00
WWI Museum: $500,000

The World War I Museum and Memorial President and CEO Matthew Naylor shared a statement with KCTV5 regarding the decision:

“The National WWI Museum and Memorial is grateful for the extraordinary partnership Missouri’s General Assembly has shown us, including more than $17 million in support over the past three years. In partnership with private philanthropy, these funds have helped prepare the Museum and Memorial for its second century of service.

While we’re disappointed this year’s $500,000 appropriation didn’t survive the Governor’s final review, we remain deeply grateful for the state’s sustained investment in this national treasure. We remain committed to honoring those who served and learning from their sacrifice. We look forward to an ongoing partnership in the years ahead."
