Actually, we understand a great deal of angst against the dude and maybe a bit of public embarrassment isn't such a bad thing.
However, here's our question to anybody who cares . . .
WHAT DIFFERENCE DID ANY OF THIS MAKE?!?
The online flexing was nice but we're not sure about criticism over taking the 5th given that Prez Trump invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination more than 400 times (specifically cited as over 440 times) during a single civil deposition . . . And it was his right to do so.
Either way . . .
We might be getting too skeptical because the showdown seemed anticlimactic.
Here's a more optimistic view from the conservative side . . .
"U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) grilled Dr. Anthony Fauci in a Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing over his self-dealings, pursuit of awards and cash prizes, and illegal use of federal employees and resources amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Fauci pled the Fifth each time, refusing to answer any of Senator Hawley’s questions. Fauci even pled the Fifth when Senator Hawley asked what day of the week it was, what color his tie was, and what color the carpet in front of him was, proving he had no intention to answer questions in good faith."
