Helping people is nice . . . But let's be honest . . . They're trying to rebrand this card for homeless people. Like it or not, at the outset of the program it was intended to help "the undocumented" access local services . . . And actually STILL helps to achieve that goal.

"Mayor Quinton Lucas introduced a resolution today to expand the Fountain Card ID program, a free identification card available to all Kansas City residents.
"The resolution directs the city manager to enter negotiations with United Way to expand the program, which was implemented in January 2024.
"The Fountain Card is intended to assist residents who may have difficulty obtaining a driver’s license, passport or other forms of identification, particularly those experiencing homelessness. It helps cardholders access various city services."
