In the opening rounds of this debate . . . Here's a peek at shoddy legislation that also has very little voter support . . . Check-it:
"A Jackson County judge has paused a proposed ban on mini-liquor bottles and single-serve beers in certain Kansas City neighborhoods. The ban had already been delayed after a convenience store trade group and affected liquor stores sued the city. Circuit Court Judge Patrick Edwards issued a preliminary injunction Thursday. Preliminary injunctions have a high bar and suggest the convenience stores are likely to prevail and could be harmed if the ordinance is not paused."
