Our first "teen takeover" of the season is now in the hands of prosecutors after a shut down announcement and "concerns" about the future of a local suburb.
Here's the word . . .
"The Lee’s Summit Police Department announced Monday that detectives have submitted seven juvenile cases to Jackson County Family Court after reviewing surveillance video, witness statements and other evidence gathered during the investigation.
"The cases stem from the June 7 disturbances, when officers responded to multiple fights, assaults, property damage, large groups of juveniles refusing to disperse, and a weapons-related call during the festival. Police also recovered a firearm and three cans of bear spray after multiple people were exposed."
