"The University of Kansas warned a transgender employee for using the women's restroom, citing Senate Bill 244 which mandates that individuals in state-owned buildings use restrooms corresponding to their sex assigned at birth. The employee, who has used the restroom for years without issue, was told by HR she violated the law, which carries fines for the university and legal penalties for individuals."
