Familiar politico foes meet again . . . Here's the crux of the old school argument:
Attorney General Kris Kobach is arguing that Gov. Laura Kelly can't defend the Kansas law that he refuses to defend against President Donald Trump's administration.
"It is well-established that Kansas law expressly vests the Attorney General with exclusive control over the State's litigation in federal court," Kobach's July 8 filing said. "Governor Kelly is not authorized by law to second-guess the Attorney General's legal judgment as the basis for intervention."
