In a letter to the school board and superintendent, the federal government gave the district 14 days to comply with federal law or face civil action over its so-called “transgender” policies. 

On Tuesday night, the KCK school board declined to address the 14-day warning at its public meeting.

Instead, the board president had a basic message: “Stick together for student safety.”
