Kansas’ six state universities will each receive $2 million that the Legislature set aside as incentive for the Kansas Board of Regents to adopt an anti-diversity, equity and inclusion policy . . .

The Legislature’s Fiscal Year 2027 budget bill included a provision that the Board of Regents had to certify to the council by July 31 that it defined DEI and critical race theory (CRT) in the context of student learning.
