Kansas Rep. Sharice Davids Fights For Obamacare Tax Credits

Actually . . .

Even most conservatives will tacitly admit that she's right about this one and NOBODY is bragging about the current state of American healthcare . . . Politically, it's just another blame game circular argument whilst standards of care (on the densely populated low-end) don't live up to our allies and most of the Western World.

Check-it . . .

Representative Sharice Davids met with Kansans whose health insurance premiums have skyrocketed since enhanced Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits expired last year. Some participants shared that their monthly premiums have more than quadrupled, forcing them to rethink family budgets and raising concerns about whether they can continue to afford the coverage they rely on.

"No one should lose affordable healthcare because politicians chose tax breaks for billionaires over tax relief for working families,” said Davids. “I heard from Kansans today who are doing everything right but are now facing impossible choices because their health insurance costs have skyrocketed. I'll keep fighting to restore these tax credits so families can afford the care they need instead of worrying about whether they can keep their coverage."

The enhanced tax credits helped more than 160,000 Kansans save an average of $700 each year on health insurance. But after Republican leadership allowed the tax credits to expire, premiums began climbing sharply, putting affordable coverage further out of reach for working families, seniors, and small business owners.
